Hospital escort: your questions answered

Short answers about hospital escort. For the full service page, see below.

Can the escort use our own car or taxi?

The escort accompanies your parent in the vehicle the family arranges. Tell us how you plan to travel when you book so the pickup is planned properly.

Is a hospital escort the same as an ambulance?

No. For an emergency call 108. An escort is for planned visits when your parent can travel normally but should not go alone.

Can I get updates while my parent is at the hospital?

Yes. The escort records the visit, and you see updates in the app, even if you are in another city.

Can the escort enter the doctor's room?

That depends on the hospital and your parent's wishes. The escort stays close and can enter with your parent if the doctor allows it.

Will the escort pay hospital bills?

No. Escorts do not handle cash. Payments are made by the family directly to the hospital or pharmacy.

What if the visit runs long?

Visits can run long. Tell us the expected duration and we will plan, and we will update you if the appointment is delayed.

Can the escort collect reports?

The escort can wait with your parent while reports are collected, and note the doctor's instructions for you. Report collection follows hospital rules.

Can I request the same escort every time?

We aim for continuity so that your parent feels comfortable, subject to availability.

In an emergency, call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital. ServQ Healthcare supports planned and ongoing care at home.
